Air-Box Comfort Air-Box Comfort
The Comfort series ventilation valve is used for the organization of air exchange in accordance with the Europe standards and guidelines DIN EN 1946-6, DIN EN 18017-3, EnEV 2009 and 2014, "Heating and ventilation in residential and public buildings" (absolute minimum 15 m3 / h per person). A special feature of the Air-Box Comfort valve is the ability to quickly install without milling or drilling a window profile.
Air-Box ECO Air-Box ECO
The ECO ventilation valve with filter EN779 is designed for use in PVC windows for organizing air exchange in accordance with Europe standards and guidelines DIN EN 1946-6, DIN EN 18017-3, EnEV 2009 and 2014 with noise protection and cleaning of the supply air from pollen, dust, spores and soot in rooms of residential, public and industrial buildings equipped with mechanical or natural ventilation.
Principle of operation Principle of operation
Fresh air from the outside, passing through the filter installed in the visor, enters the channel between the frame and sash at the place of removal of a fragment of a typical seal. Then through the valve installed on the top of the sash, the purified air enters the room. Moving the flap knob ensures smooth air flow control.

FAQs

  • Why do we need window ventilation valves?
When installing sealed PVC windows, the natural air exchange laid down by the project is disrupted, which leads to a number of problems. The comfort of living is deteriorating: humidity is increasing, air quality is decreasing, there is a likelihood of fungal damage to structures. Inlet window valves allow providing a standard air flow with a closed window, while preserving all the advantages of sealed PVC windows.
  • Why not use slit or micro ventilation?
With this airing, the window opens slightly around the perimeter, which leads to the appearance of drafts, sudden temperature changes, and increase the noise level. Such ventilation implies control, and the inlet vent valve, performing a noise protection function, operates continuously, providing air flow into the sub ceiling zone, thereby eliminating drafts and temperature drops.
  • Why do I need a window ventilation valve in the summer?
Leaving for work, leaving the window open, the level of safety of housing decreases, dust, moisture in the rain, insects enter. When the windows are closed without a window ventilation valve, the accumulation of harmful fumes from varnished, painted, synthetic surfaces occurs in the room, especially after the repair. The performance of any passive inlet devices, the principle of which is based on the pressure difference inside and outside the room, is the maximum in the autumn-winter period of time, when the pressure drop (thrust) has the greatest difference. In the warm period of time, the pressure drop has a minimal difference, respectively, and the efficiency is minimal. In addition, the thrust generated by the pressure difference depends on the mass of various external factors: the location of the house, the height of the building, the presence or absence of various climatic phenomena, etc.
  • Is it possible to do without a window vent valve?
EU regulations recommend airing the room up to 4 times a day for 15-30 minutes, which is impossible or extremely inconvenient. In rooms with gas stoves, the absence of oxygen is especially dangerous, since increases the likelihood of attenuation of the gas burner. The presence of a window ventilation valve allows in most cases to refuse forced ventilation, especially in winter.
  • Wouldn't it get cold in the apartment because of the cold air in winter?
During normal operation of the heating system - no. The air permeability of the Air-Box inlet valves is regulated by regulatory documents. In addition, the window inlet valve has the ability to smoothly adjust the air supply.
  • Why do I need a window vent valve, if there is air conditioning?
Most air conditioners do not provide fresh air. The principle of their work is based on the fact that the air is taken from the room, passes through the filter system, is cooled or heated, and is again fed into the room. Thus, the operation of the air conditioner does not provide the necessary flow of fresh air.
  • Can the window inlet valve freeze in winter?
During normal operation of the exhaust is not - removal of moist air occurs continuously. The level of humidity in the room is reduced. Thus, there is no reason for condensate to fall out and icing of the window valve. It is not recommended to close the valve completely, since This will disrupt the air exchange in the room, which will lead to an increase in relative humidity, condensation, and in the winter time to icing of the device.
  • Is the cost of the window inlet valves high?
The cost of window inlet valves is insignificant and practically does not affect the final cost of the window construction.
